Spotlighting Current Food Trends at United Fresh

Truly Good Foods exhibited at the 2016 United Fresh show last week and got the chance to showcase some of their most popular products while seeing the latest produce industry trends. Product spotlights at the TGF booth included York’s Harvest® Garden Chips™, ReCharge® natural snack mixes, and all-natural Flavored Pretzel Bags. TGF has seen a large success with their products in the “better-for-you” snack category, which is on trend with the current snack landscape.

2016 has been the year of vegetables taking center stage in the food industry. From restaurants to snack foods, customers are interested in a healthier and more natural, but still flavorful option. York’s Harvest® Garden Chips™ spotlighted that trend at the show. Garden Chips™ are all-natural snack chips made from real vegetables that are then vacuum-fried and lightly seasoned with sea salt. The Garden Chips™ line includes Okra, Green Beans, and Vegetable Chips – a combination of sweet potato, taro root, squash, carrots, and green beans. Garden Chips™ recently debuted a new logo and packaging that better evokes the healthier lifestyle of the brand. The health benefits of the product are highlighted on the front of packaging to appeal to consumers’ cravings for “better for you” snack options. For buyers, the new packaging offers some necessary specifics like a tamper-proof seal and the ability for Garden Chips™ to hang on racks or lie flat or sideways on shelves.
